An 3.4 magnitude earthquake rattled residents south-west of Sydney just after midnight.
It occurred at a depth of 2km in Appin, 75km from Sydney, at 12.25am on Saturday.
Over 200 people reported feeling the shake, according to Geoscience Australia. Residents in Campbelltown and Wollongong were among them.

It is the third time in months that the region has been hit by an earthquake about this size.
A 3.1 magnitude earthquake hit Appin at a depth of 3km shook houses and rattled windows at 2pm on June 18.
Then days later, a 3.2 magnitude earthquake shook the residents of Crookwell, east of Boorowa, just before 1.45am on June 23.
